Part 1 (10:00-11:15)
Kathy Hendricks, National consultant with Sadlier, author, spiritual director and former Catechetical leader will focus on several issues:
- What do we mean by Family?
- How can we move beyond a restricted view of family so as to encompass its larger meaning?
- What do the 6 tasks of catechesis look like when applied to families?
- How might we involve the rest of the parish community in multigenerational programs?
- How do we engage and inspire families to be part of formal and informal catechesis in the home?

Part 2 (11:30-12:30)
Sue Muldoon, DRE from Good Shepherd Parish in Wayland, MA using Family-Centered Catechesis for many years and co-author of 2 books on Family Faith Formation will:
- Explain the philosophical basis and practical aspects of their program
- Show how the hybrid program combines traditional classroom based catechetical taught classes with parent lessons.
- Share how intergenerational catechesis and liturgy-based learning can add to the forming of community
- Allow you to integrate different aspects of her program into your own in part or over time. (clear ideas and handouts given)
